I'll agree with your list.
1. Blood.
2. Shadow Warrior.
3. Duke.
I'll say that the expansion packs for Shadow Warrior sucked, I didn't like either of them. The levels just weren't very fun compared to the main game. The levels in the main game rocked! I loved the one with the tank, or the level where you start in a row boat. So many cool levels.
Levels in Duke were pretty cool, but Duke didn't have nearly as many memorable levels as the other games. I remember the strip club, and a few levels that pissed me off, like the one with the subway trains going in circles.
Blood had some really awesome levels. Especially things like the maze from the Shining, or the carnival level, or that one level with the boat. I don't remember getting annoyed at Bloods level design like I did with the other 2 games, all the levels were pretty solid.
I guess the other important part is the characters and guns.
Guns in Duke were cool, but the shotgun\dynamite in Blood was next level, so were the Uzis from Shadow Warrior, and the sword! (I like Sword, that's a personal weapon.) Also SW had a nuke.. A FREAKIN NUKE. I don't remember being able to Nukem in Duke Nukem. But you can in Shadow Warrior. Oh and the tommy gun in Blood was awesome too.
Well, Duke aged poorly because he is a womanizer. Lo Wang aged poorly because he is a blender mush of Asian stereotypes. Though I like all 3 of them, and I'm not personally offended by those 2, I will say that Caleb felt the most unique, like he was his own character separated from the one liners and stereotypes. So I'll give him a point there.
Also "I live... again." somehow became one of my regularly used lines in daily life... somehow...
I also loved some of the levels, the out door levels were incredible for a Build engine game, and the level in the forest actually left me in awe with how nice it looked.
Shelly in fun, she had some cool lines. "Imagine a world, because you ain't in it."
Duke
Shadow
Mind you this is only if I have to rank them, otherwise I'll just say they are all amazing games. Except I do think Blood is above the other two and maybe its just because I am a big horror snob so considering how many easter eggs and references to random horror ♥♥♥♥ is in that game you could say Im bias but I also just think the detail in the level design, satisfaction from killing things, weapon selection, and just about everything else is a step above any other fps from the 90s. The reason I would put Shadow Warrior in last compared to Duke and Blood however is for a few reasons that might be seen as nitpicky: the sticky grenades are way too hard to effectively use, shotgun was cool but the single shot feels kinda lousy, most weapons dont sound too 'beefy' and are almost too quiet, and compared to Blood and Duke it REALLY tones down the violence. The only gore in the game are the gibs and maybe the tiniest bit of wall blood but other than that its really tame. So much so even that I went into the settings looking to see if there was a secret option or something for it to no avail. Still an amazing game but just doesnt seem to have the same 'punch' as other build games, at least in my opinion.
2. SW and Duke (tie)
I love the theme of blood the most and I consider it among the 3 the most solid in mechanics and levels, and Blood in my opinion is the one that had the best re-release, Duke had a very good re-release which was the megaton edition but they replaced it with the Randy's version whitch is clearly inferior, and SW redux is very Janky and crashes at times.
SW, I think it is very underrated, it is very fun, the weapons are satisfactory to use, but my problem is how Janky the explosions are, I hate that hecenary fire hurts, suffers from the syndrome of being too cryptic sometimes, and I hate the pseudo puzzles. But the campaign and enemies is a lot of fun, I honestly don't like the expansions very much.
Duke, the same with SW it is a lot of fun with a unique and fun repertoire of weapons, but it has little things that annoy me, the swiche puzzles, I hate the robots of episode 2, the levels are fun, even that of the 3 games, I think it is the one that suffers the most from having a very BS key hunting at times.
Shadow Warrior
Duke3D
Blood (Sadly never played it until I was an adult many years later)
The re-releases?
Blood: Fresh Supply (Nightdive Studios kicks so much ass)
...
...
...
That's about it.
2. Blood - Very fun, more emphasis on using the right gun for each enemy. I'm not really into horror, so a lot of the references go over my head. Some of the levels are a bit bland.
3. Shadow Warrior - Kinda tied with Blood. Very fun, amazing weapons, but I'm not fond of the 2nd act. The locations don't appeal to me.
Blood
Duke
Shadow Warrior has the most balanced enemies and weapons out of the three. Blood's re-release in the form of Fresh Blood is worse than SW's re-release (Redux). I personally love the themes and setting of both Blood and SW, Duke not so much, I also think Duke is boring and inferior to those games in every way, lol.
Even though duke is the most simplistic of the 3, I find it the most fun. Although the setting appeals to me the most.
