i hate killing them just because of those god aweful sounds.
you can use the Shrinker on them to step on them without hearing their death screams
if you mean the Assault Commander, he's pretty much the most easiest of the annoying enemies to take out with a simple Shrinker round (providing it doesn't clip through him)
In Episode 2, they're so well placed in the map that they always surprise the player. They're the absolute worst when you encounter them in tight corridors or right behind doors, since they don't even seem to lock on to you and just fly into your face. Not to mention in Episode 2 in particular, they're well camoflaged in its surroundings, especially in Level 4, Fusion Station.
I guess it's the looks, sound effects and the erratic movement that make them scary to me for some odd reason. The way they will sometimes quickly slide out from a corner close by really gets to me, as I'm carefully trying to figure out where they are, because I can't stand fighting them up close. It gets really awkward when I'm playing the game while talking to someone, and making some kind of silly noise when a Sentry Drone comes out of nowhere because they made me jump.
Regardless, I was disappointed to find out that Sentry Drones aren't in Duke Nukem Forever, and probably won't be in any possible future DN releases, since nobody likes them. Just because I find them terrifying doesn't mean I want them removed. They were the most memorable part of Duke Nukem 3D to me.
actually dude, the Sentry Drones technically DO return in the "The Doctor Who Cloned Me" DLC for "Duke Nukem Forever", but they're called Suicide Drones in that game
Example: "Well, I think I have enough room to use my RPG :P" or "I just walk through the laser-tripmine ..... should not harm me much :P"
