Well then I suggest you to wait for an update in which it will be added, because manually adding support is kinda long and not that easy ^^' Without always good results btw :/

Well, the number of times it was asked, I expect it to be added later on, but it's not the higher priority feature at the moment (MP is still in beta). "I expect". Note the "I" x)

Back in time, FPS were played with a keyboard ^^' So why not a gamepad for nowadays (FPS are released on consoles too).

Sun Tsu, Iching, Darwinism... evolution my friend. I used to play the ♥♥♥♥ out of Duke back when you didnt even use a mouse and you had to page up and down to shoot higher and lower.

So why a 360 controller... for me its conveniance. Also, my current mouse and keyboard are wireless and arent exactly the most responsive.

yeah, I remember there were guys who actually prefer tank-controls (keyboard only) and wasn't playing with mouse at all... Not to mention that Duke got in our hearts before mouse-look became standard.
At least we are gamepad wielding for a reason - to play on big tv sitting comfortably on big couch while being high or drunk.

I grew up with consoles but transitioned to PC gaming in my early 20's when I could afford to play on the master race. I love mouse and KB and for my latest games like Battlefield 4, I would NEVER think of playing it with my 360 controller. For Singleplayer Duke, I would LOVE to be able to boot Steam into BPM and use my controller to sellect the game from the convenient
front-end and then proceed to play the game as if I were playing on a 360. That is just me but while at my desk you damned straight I play it with mouse and kb. In bet laying down controller is just convenient for that.

Use a software like JoyToKey, which you let's bind every button or stick in your controller to whatever you want and use it in any game or program.

Controllers allow you to play comfortably and away from the screen. It's all about the experience.
