Did you buy it without noticing that it said "only controllers supported" on the store page? Now if you did buy it without seeing it, aren't you glad that it does work with keyboard? (As stated some keyboards seems to not be able to complete the game).
My suggestion to you is to borrow a friends controller & maybe in return let them "borrow" your game.
But yeah, discussing keyboard controlls when the game clearly says "controller needed" is somewhat pointless.
thankfully theres only 2 cranks in the whole game
But if they didn't implement it, there'd be another score of people whining about not having any keyboard control at all. The game's page clearly says 'Controller Required' - that you can use a keyboard at all is an added bonus, not laziness.
Suck less at making comments.
It's more of a platformer with a very clever controller UI that has gateway puzzles. The real solution is to beg, borrow, or steal a controller. Suddenly everything will make sense.
to be fair they state it as clearly as possible on store page so even a blind man would struggle to miss it. Also every review mentions it.
The bit you mentioned took me about 30 seconds.
The control system is one of the things people like most.
Anyway, the game reminds me a lot of darksiders 2 - the graphics aren't super high resolution but they're very appealing. The puzzles are as good as DS2 and hopefully we'll see more from the dev team along the same lines. A bit stupid developing a game for a PC that apparently needs a controller but by the time I'd bought it the keyboard worked fine. I love how it makes you see the world through both sides of your brain "sim"ultaneously - its challenging but not stupendously difficult. In Assassins Creed 3 some of the missions are almost impossible, in Splinter Cell blacklist, the achievements too long. These guys have the right idea - make something pretty thats rewarding when you work out the puzzles. I love the "sim" language. Its not perfect but a good distraction from mindlessly blowing things up and shooting people. More, more, more!!! Please.
