PS4 controller and A Tale of Two Sons not compatible ?
I've bought a new Dual Shock PS4 controller, connected it using a micro USB cable, and tried running Brothers on PC, but no success. The launcher detects a controller is present (otherwise you see a red banner when detached) but the game does not seem to recognize the controller.

The controller and all the buttons function correctly in windows, so I'm wondering am I the only one with this issue or just missing out on some setting ?

The PS4 controller is not officially supported on the PC. Sony has said that they are working on drivers though it may not be released until next year. The XBOX One controller has the same issue. Your best bet at this point is to stick with an XBOX 360 controller.

I just got the DS4 to work in this game using x360ce emulator. You can get it here https://code.google.com/p/x360ce/downloads/list. In the setup i had to make sure all the buttons on the 360 had been assigned to a button on the DS4. initially the only one not assigned was the guide button which i mapped to the DS4's touchpad button. After that it was working hope this helps.

Yep worked for me. Just drop the https://code.google.com/p/x360ce/downloads/detail?name=x360ce.App-2.1.2.191.zip&can=2&q= into steam/steamapps/common/Brothers - Tale of Two Sons/Binaries/Win32 run it and then boot into the game. The settings menu wont change so don't bother with it.

I just bought the game because until now I only had PS3 controller. This problem is very, very disappointing.
I think it should work. I just finished Assassins Creed 4 with the PS4 controller and besides the vibration feature it worked perfectly, even identical to the PS4 version which I also had available to test.
I hope they fix this soon. Its unacceptable for a game which states that it absolutely needs a controller.

try adding ps4 to steam controller. open steam, click the controller icon on the top right, it'll open up the Big Picture, then click the setting icon, go to controller, then ps4 controller
