Since the mother is blonde, and the father is red-headed, can it be determined that Nyaa and Naiee are stepbrothers or possibly, not even related at all?

Nyaa has brown hair - which is impossible to have if both parents in this story produced him.

Naiee has red hair and is likely the product of both parents in this story.

Perhaps this explains why Naiee was musically inclined, mischievous, and connected with animals and Nyaa wasn't?

They're two distinctly different personalities, and maybe, not even related at all and if that's the case, this story really has another layer to the overall story arc.

I can’t tell by 100% about the mother, but remember in those times there were not divorce for lower classes, so assuming they have different mothers the older brother mom should be death too, so the dad should be double widow, in such case there should be other grave.

And I think the father is truly the older brother progenitor, even if he is his stepfather or he is adopted and loves him too much, he has a strong “connection” with him that only a parent may have remember when the spider woman hurt him, the father felt it too so I think the father is the progenitor of the older brother

Difficult yes, but not impossible, genetics is strange even when the older brother has dark hair, not always the Mendel laws apply, very rarely they may fail.

That’s very common, real brothers are very alike in many senses, but very often in many senses they have different and complementary personalities.

You often find families with a brother very sporty but bad student and the other brother is very nerdy and not inclined to the sports. And is funny because if for some circumstance the good student starts to fail the other one starts to improve his notes.

Hair color is more complex than that. Although it is unusual, it is very possible for the boys to be from the same mother and father. I know a boy who was blonde, and one of his parents had black hair (Asian) and the other had brown (Caucasian). According to the father (the white one), everyone in his family was a brunette. I think you're reading into it too much.

Genetics can skip generations, so it;s very possible a distant relative had brown hair which the older brother inherited.

As long as ancestors have the genetic materials, their offsprings will contain the genetic materials. For example: Both parents have black hair and eyes. Their son however have red hair and green eyes. That because somewhere in the genetic line their ancestors had red hair and green eyes.
