thanks I've added an edit to my original post
i feel like this was a nice idea but they didnt manage to bring it the full distance. however the atmosphere in the game they did a good job with, the artstyle was beautiful and the atmosphere created was great too. some of the music in the game did a good job setting the tone and immersing you into the experience. still, i would say this game was a 3/5, nice idea and nice ambition but it didnt do what it wanted to do.
I wonder if the puzzles were worked more, if the animations were the most beautiful faces, if the paths were more tortuous, if the game was longer, if magic was at the rendezvous, as it the has been to me.
So if sometimes we critisize a game for its beautiful graphics and obvious lack of interest here, it is quite otherwise. The magic of beauty, poetry and simplicity are everything.
We do not unscathed such a game. Congratulations and thank you artists.
Sure the puzzles are not hard but tbh who cares its a beautifull story with highs and lows and even without any dialog per say such a wonderfull and gripping story can be told A++++. Worth every penny. One of my best games ever and i have been playing games for 20 odd years
The games environment is amazing, I really loved it. After some time when you start getting into darker territory it gets a bit creepy.
So many games....So little.....
Totally agree, it is a masterpiece of storytelling, especially considering the medium. I haven't been swept away by a game like this in a long time. It has heart and soul, and really draws you into a fairy-tale world, like in the old Eastern European stories. It's beautiful.
I paid it at full price and I am not sorry I agree with OP, one of the most beautiful games I had played in a long time, if there is an argue if videogames can be considered art this game is an example and I am not sorry for what I paid.
Sometimes we pay over 60 dollars for supposed AAA games that end being buggy and generic garbage to please to the masses.
