How 'hard' is a Yukari run actually?

Planning to get back into the game and I never actually tried to beat it with Yukari before. As per title, any general tips? Are weapon skills important given that you are heavily disincentivized to grind for them? Since drops are so ♥♥♥♥ with limited battles, should you even bother with weapons/armor from monster drops? What about shikigami etc.

Seems like the simplest way is to avoid all the enemies until just before the magic circle then 'grind' a few battles or reset for yukkuri.
