Complete agreement. -Might put 4 just a bit ahead of 7, but largely because 4 and 5 have that manic humor which 7 doesn't reach for. Still, this has much of 5 in it, and some memorable characters on it's own.

I also liked 5, not the best for story, but certainly for mechanics. 1 still has the best story, 4 is pretty decent as well. 7 is good, but its mechanics are a bit of a step back. (and 3D doesn't do the game justice) so not a fan off)

5 is the best indeed then 4 and 7 come close behind. if you play these 3 you will have a lot of fun but its gonna be tough playing the other ones.

I am really enjoying it. At first I also put 5 slightly higher than this one, but the longer I play the story and get to know the characters, its getting closer to a tie.

my fave is still 1. can skip 6 if ya want seeing as was both boring and tiny in many ways

One thing which is for sure, Disgaea 6 is the worse of the numbered games. Disgaea RPG(mobile game) is the worst in general.

4,5,7,2,1 on steam... I never played 6 so I don't know. I will get around to it one day if it is on a good sale with no other games to compete with.

It seems like no one thinks this is the best, personally i preferred Disgaea 4 and 5's characters, humour, and overall game balance/mechanics over D7.
