Any way to see evilty descriptions before applying a scroll?

The scrolls just say "teaches you such and such evilty", but don't tell you what the evilty actually does.

I know I could save and apply them to a character then reload, but that's going to get tedious really fast. I'm hoping I've missed a button or a menu somewhere in game that I can look.
