Can you give me a quick rundown on why you think so? No need for a book or anything I just want to hear your thoughts since you seem confident.
It looks pretty but I dunno, I guess I could just wait for reviews but having more points of reference to digest is never a bad thing.
It's not a question of thinking. JP version has been out for 6 months. The reviews are Clear, Disgaea 7 is one of the better Disgaea titles.
Disgaea 6 had good reviews in Japan too though, least I'm misremembering, and I don't think so because I remember they were the reason I wasn't worried about 6 until I played it.
The only problem are translation errors hopefully beeing fixed soon. Nis stated working on a patch.
What? Is that a joke? Disgaea 6 got a ton of ♥♥♥♥ for going from 2D to 3D. It got a ton of ♥♥♥♥ for having very few classes and monster types. It also got a ton of ♥♥♥♥ for the amount of grind required, because of the auto-battle. Disgaea 6 was considered one of the worst Disgaeas.
Yeah I'm watching some now, only a few have directly compared it to Disgaea 6 but all have said it's actually better and they seem to know what they're talking about.
Whelp, I haven't missed a disgaea game yet so why not I guess.
I agree with you, but that sentiment didn't become popular until after the US release. Even then, the game still averages at mid 70s which isn't bad, especially for a non-mainstream JRPG.
The Japanese reviews however were far more generous and I just checked; most range into 80s or call the game decent.
Soooo... hence my concern and lack of trust.
For the record, auto-battlers are incredibly popular in asian territories just like gacha garbage is. Just because we know grind is a horrendous waste of time doesn't mean Koreans and Japanese do, and they're the one who make Asian-developed games including JRPGs, obivously...
I wouldn't waste my time buying any non-nintendo exclusive on Switch. They are always worse. Even easier to run indie games like Hades.
