I decided I want the items from the pvp ranked battles just to have them. The sheer amount of hacked teams that either crash your game or take 10 years to upload is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous.

We can't help you about people cheating, so as I've said everyone was expecting cheaters in a game with no anti cheat and manly focusing on a singleplayer experience.

Criticizing the addition of pvp and the abundance of cheaters is still valid though however, because imo this is valuable development time and money wasted on a game like disgaea through a studio that isn't doing too hot overall.

Disgaea games are in a precarious spot and we need them to get better rather than worse, this is why i think the change to 3D was ultimately a bad idea. I don't hate the style and i think the characters all look great but the animation of attacks and optimization have gone down drastically and i often wonder how disgaea games would be if they just pushed it further with the 2D sprites vs 3D. This mentality can be applied to the pvp.

They didn't make any effort in this game: The story is pretty bad, if you don't have the DLCs then you lack some evilities and cutscenes that should be in the base game, like Mao is really important and Valvatorez + that prinny girl is also important since they can speed the grinding by quite a lot, grinding is fun and all but if you can just pay more to do it faster........ and that's why they overpriced this game.

All this to say that PvP doesn't matter here regardless of it's state, It's not COD where most players just want to play the multiplayer part, they could have removed the PvP and put the DLCs in the base game but........ honestly why should they care as long as people give them money ? What will people do if PvP have cheaters ? Not buy the game they have already paid for for ? Complain on steam forums which they may not even read ? lmao.

This is why IMO the topic is pointless: Most players don't care, they don't care since they already got the money, so instead just have fun in the singleplayer since it's the main focus of the game, that's what I do.

You're right about the pricing, its pretty ludicrous. However i sometimes wonder if its a sign of where NIS is as a studio, and worries me greatly. I'd love to see how solvent they are these days.

Not caring about pvp is fine but again, it can still be critiqued and have some impact in future developments.

I also agree the story wasn't that great but personally i dont get Disgaea games for the story, i get it to build a big army of ridiculously strong characters. I wish NIS would just add to the roster and good mechanics and just push this game further and further in scope instead of wasting time with things like pvp etc etc alongside what you posted above.

I really think that they should let user switch between chibi style to normal anime style. It will be really nice improvement and let user switch between 2D style to 3D style too.

Also I find other user seem overreaction how bad is Disgaea 7 game really is. From my point of view. Its not terrible. But it could have been better. Still it pretty seem as lazy effort put into it.

Whining about the price..... Hmm..... Let use your logic on (no body care about pvp and most user play single player game only). Let using that logic on to how many user love it on steam. Instead hating it on steam over rating.

81% user actually like it and other 19% is hating it. That actually willing to buy the game any way. Making your arguments shouldn't taken seriously on money problem. Keep in mind that only 404 steam user make review on the game does not mean that every user own the game and have to make a review and also steam not only place to play Disgaea 7 game. Other platform like Playstation/Nintendo Switch can also play Disgaea 7 games.

Kind a think of it. Most other website rating are disagreeing with your opinion on Disgaea 7 being bad.

IIRC Disgaea RPG closed like a bit ago and I predict that they'll just release some cheap disgaea games like D7 (overpirced stuff because some people will buy whatever) by once again cutting corners like reusing 3D models and such.

I've played D5 & 6 and the gameplay of D7 is basically the same aside jumbility.

Hell mode: D5
Juice bar: D6

Oh yeah I forgot gacha, Disgaea RPG I guess.

So next game we will get 3D and 1 or 2 stuff added, like maybe instead of going big they'll make the character tiny, or even more bigger now it's super jumbality and you can go to level 99 999 999.

In the end I expect that they'll make no efforts as usual, we can see it with PvP and everyone aside what seems to be like 3 people knew that they can just ignore PvP because not only it wouldn't matter but because NISA wouldn't invest in an anticheat since they just want to make a profit fast.

A shame because we are in 2023 they have the tools to make something better, the story is just VN style, we could have at least some cutscenes but as I've said they just want to milk players so they cut content to sell as DLC, they just took D6 models..............

OMG what is the point of spending all that time and effort to grind a super team only to face one hacked team perma crashing ranked till next season, every single season so far. Just no attempt to do anything about it apparently? Shameful.

This has been a thing since disgaea 3 ps3. I wish NISA would fix it, but its been decades for them to care. I with they did! Hell I got top 10 without cheating and still only got bronze trophy? Mp in this is just bad. I recommend just making a team, fighting one battle, then grabbing the free gas at the end of the week rather than try to get top ranks.

I think they should at the very least make it so people cant have teams that put you in a failed upload loop, locking you out of pvp for 5 minutes to a couple hours. I can probably find a way to beat hacked teams, but the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ failed upload looping sucks ass. The crashes are rare at least, but there are a couple of teams that just hard crash the game as well.
