Why does everyone say this one is bad?
I quite enjoyed this one i mean sure it was rushed but stuff got deleted I mean if they remade the missing stuff it would be nice but admit it it is a great game

The game had new controls which longtime TR fans -- myself included -- had difficulty getting used to after mastering the controls of the early games. Personally, I enjoyed this game after learning the new setup, but unfortunately it had a late-game bug on my computer involving a cutscene, which I couldn't get past and I had to give up near the end (I was told it involved my video card/memory). But I agree, up until then I quite liked this game.

It's a nice game but I hate controls, I can't get used to it, and there is no autosave in this game (so I have to start a new game).

you can manualy save and there isnt auto save in the other ones

Personally never understood why so many dislike it either, TR has always had horrible controls and they are the same in AOD. If you can play the classics you should have no issues with aod..I didn't nor do any of my friends.

i loved this game but the reason people thought it was ♥♥♥♥ was it was not tomb raider was it it was a lara croft game but the closest thing in this game to a tomb is the sewer

As far as I know this game was considered bad because it was finished under pressure, as they wanted it to be done the same day the movie came out. That totally destroyed the game's potential (which was, in my oppinion, better than the rest of the Tomb Raider games).

A remake using the original storyline/a sequel (there were two Angel of Darkness games supposed to exist) would be a great idea; I would definitively play it (as many TR fans would do too).

Although, I'll say this is actually my favourite Tomb Raider game. Been playing since I was like 5-6 years. I'm still having the game and I play it from time to time.

*Cough*Tomb of the Ancients*Cough*

Anyways, I quite enjoy the game myself and i ended up buying the PS2 edition recently and my god the controls are beautiful, i couldnt stand the way you had to turn and then go forwards, in the PS2 edition, you move the analog stick left, Lara runs to the left. Which makes the game for me, a whole lot easier.

And there is just something about the soundtrack that i just find absolutely amazing..anyone else feel this way?

That part of the game was the one that got featured after the Louvre part. Anyway, it was for me the worst part of the game... it was just boring and somehow repetitive, you know? (At least for me, of course).

Oh, and... what? Three discs?! You mean your Angel of Darkness discs? My physical format only has two! It's the spanish version of the game btw, but I don't think that could cause such change...

I am. Since the game got in stores.

And, even after those 10 years, I'm still unknowing what gives the soundtrack such awesomeness.

(LOL, I was listening to the soundtrack right now (yeah, at this exact moment), using Youtube. What a chance, isn't it?)

I can't explain myself pretty well in english, so I'll be brief: this soundtrack traps you by a way that makes you impossible to escape. BTW who would want or like to escape of something like that? At least I wouldn't like to... would you so?

That explains everything (if it had three discs it would be a defective copy of the game I think) and... what could I say? Try to purchase it on Steam if you haven't so. It's just like three euros (I'm european) and I'm finding the game pretty affordable I'll say <3 xD

Because it deviates strongly from the original concept of the game series. It marks the end of classic Tomb Raider games.

The controls are terrible compared to past tomb raiders (and new tomb raiders). The gameplay sucked, the fun of exploring tombs was gone, the animal fighting was reduced. This game single handedly ruined the franchise.

Tomb Raider (2013) helped revive the franchise, but isn't what I fell in love with when I first played Tomb Raider 1
