2. Click Settings
3. Click the next tab over from General (the second tab from the left--it should be your video card)
4. Check the Box titled VMR9 in the Options box on the right right side
That should fix it.
However, the problem I'm having is that once I get the game up and running, I can't see anything on the main menu. I have blindly pressed Enter and it went straight to the game, but other I have issues similar to that thereafter. I can't pause without going black, and I can't save the game.
I bought this game about 4 months ago and I was a bit unhappy but I just assumed that this game just didn't work with Windows 8. Just 10 minutes ago, I realized it was on sale, so lots of people would buy it, so I googled it, and I just saw on this post that someone had the same problem as me.
When I click "RUN GAME", it just comes up an error. I followed your simple fix and I was blown away when it worked. I can play the game that I loved on PS2 as a child again!!! I can't thank you enough C:
