If i start this game their is first blackscreen and then errer pop up

3. Click the next tab over from General (the second tab from the left--it should be your video card)
4. Check the Box titled VMR9 in the Options box on the right right side

That should fix it.

What Kazach said. The game crashes an a huge majority of machines if VMR9 is enabled. I don't know if there are any machines that don't crash with this feature enabled.

So, I tried to changed all the items one by one to find the good ones. Lara's skin is strange but I forgot it quickly.

Settings> General settings: Frame rate: NO/ Processor: YES for all
Graphic card:1st item YES
PS 2.0 Monitor aspect : 2.0 Monitor size: 21
Screen format: 32 bit x 8 R8G886
Screen resolution: + 60 fps
Multi sample: 8
Render type: Sharder hardware
Option: all enable
Texture: at maximum
Render target: just choose Nvidia shadows and enable the others
Graphic card: disabled
Mouse tab: enabled
Key board: enabled
Other: disabled

That worked. Now it starts, but I get an error that it could not find the wmv file because it can't find the cd-rom ???

someones solution : I finally found a solution. Download the file from this site: https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com/tng/aod_scu.html
Install, run and check "Skip FMV's (introduction and in-game mpegs) and finally click on "Start game" on bottom.

Another thing . This cd-rom error is from win11 admin protection. you don't need the aod_scu. Just find the TR6 launcher.exe on your PC. Don't just click it. But right-click and than choose run as administrator. That should solve the fmv problem. (withoud skipping them)
