"1 file could not be validated and will be downloaded again"

This message appears and does not download any files. When I press "play" the game does not start but adds time played.

It will always say "1 file could not be validated", beacuse at the moment you try to start the game, some ini file is updated. Every time you verify the cache files from Steam, you graphic settings will be reset to default because of that file.

So, to the point: what happens exactly? any error message? black screen? Give me some details and I will try to hepl you :D

When I give it to "play" in the library, it seems that I am playing but it does not open the game, it just remains in the library, the Tomb Raider process does not even appear and I have to close the Steam process to close the game because it has failed. Sorry for my English xd. I currently have 42 minutes played but the game never opened.

yes, I reinstalled it many times and also tried to reinstall steam but it didn't fix

if I open it from "TRAOD" "TRAOD_P3" "TRAOD_P4" in C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ Tomb Raider (VI) The Angel of Darkness \ bin -------> this error comes out

did you try to verify the files?

You need to tick VMR9 in the launcher for it to work but it seems the launcher is non-functional.

Delete the launcher and verify files I guess?

I made a steam guide if you want to fix up the graphics or get dual pistols. (since they're normally inaccessible due to the game being rushed.)
