Windows 10 compatible? Available resolutions?
Hello everyone,

Was wondering if this is compatible with Windows 10? If it is, what are the available resolutions? I know its a big ask, but does it support 21:9 by any chance (if not, its ok as long as it supports 1920x1080).

Thanks for your help :)

Hi.
TRAoD works properly on Windows 10, but I suggest you to use sasho648's patch (link below).
About resolution, it will be more dificult but I think you'll can do it without making lara looks fat. There is an option in settings where you can set monitor aspect. You have to select here 2.00, which is the closest to 21:9 (2,33).Then select the best screen resolution (if you can't find yours, select the wider X axis wich match with your Y axis), and let the monitor or your graphic card to stretch it for you if needed.

Those are the proper settings on Configuration Utility (from Launcher > Settings):

GENERAL TAB
  • Frame Rate Compensation: Disabled
  • Processor: All enabled
{GRAPHIC CARD} TAB (first one)
Enabled
Click on "PS 2.0"
  • Monitor Aspect: select here 2.00
  • Monitor Size: 21
  • Screen Format: 32 bits X8R8G8B8
  • Screen Res: Select your resolution with 60fps
  • Multi Sampling: 8 Samples
  • Render Type: Shader Hardware
  • Options: All enabled (VMR9 is the most important)
  • Textures: Highest possible (if you have a middle graphic card or better)
  • Render Targets: All enabled (except nVidia Shadows, it breaks shadows actually)
{GRAPHIC CARD} TAB (others)
Disabled

MOUSE TAB
Disabled (there is a rare issue with mouse and cinematics)

KEYBOARD TAB
Enabled

{OTHER TABS} (each, if any)
Disabled

If the game runs too fast, use a fps limiter to cap the game to 60fps. If you have a nVidia card, you can use nVidia Inspector[www.guru3d.com]

Besides, I recommend to use this patched version of TRAOD_P4, community made (by sasho648), with a lot of fixes and some improvements: TRAOD_P4 v6.6.4[onedrive.live.com]
Extract TRAOD_P4.exe and replace (backup the original just in case) on bin folder.

You must first locate the root game folder called "steamapps/common/Tomb Raider (VI) The Angel of Darkness". Here you'll find bin, cache, sata, SaveGame, Launcher.exe and so on.
Inside "bin" folder, rename TRAOD_P4.exe to TRAOD_P4_BAK.exe or something like that, and extract the patched version here.
