When you press the "play" button, nothing happens, the game does not start, how to solve the problem?

As the title says, If I run the game through the desktop shortcut or if I press PLAY on the game's page, the game won't launch. If I go to the installation folder and double click the PCTomb5 exe, the game will run xD. Is it any way to make it run through Steam ? You know, to know how much time I spend in the game and so on...

how do i sprint on pc in this game? controls only say "dash", what button is that?

Trying to launch the game or the setup tool from Steam doesn't do anything. I can launch it directly from the exe in the game's folder, but then it runs in a window. I've downloaded the Tomb Raider Multi Patch and run it - it claimed to have done something, but there's been no change. I'd really appreciate some suggestions on what else I could try to get the game running properly.
