How do we use Custom Images for MP profile?

I saw a player the other day that had a custom image for his Multi-player profile pic. I created a 8k pic like the others in the image file and pasted it in the image folder but it doesnt appear as an option in the profile pic .... anyone know how to go about using your own custom pic?
