Fun, but Achievements?

Fun game, but the achievements appear to be broken. Has anyone had luck getting them to work or are the devs working on a fix?

The achievements seem to be working mostly fine for me. Some of them you can only get if you're doing a single duel (against the CPU) on arch-mage difficulty. i.e. you can't get them in campaign mode, Overrun is one such achievement where I think this is the case.

Does any know if the 'Complete campaign with X class on hardest difficulty' requires all matches through the campaign to be on Very Hard difficulty, or if it's only the final match that should be on Very Hard to pop the achievement?

I played all games always on hardest difficulty, and I think, it´s necessary to get it.
Why would you set it lower, since it´s already much to easy?

I've been having issues with the "don't use spells of x type" achievements. I won a game casting nothing by chaos last night, for example, and nothing unlocked.

Well, the Rewards-page says clearly on top "Duels against Archmage:"...
The ingame Rewards work all, but for the Steam-rewards, lol...(Don´t know, if they work, because I don´t have Spectro in Steam...)

@Stephanie Fischer I didn't realize you don't have Spectromancer on Steam. I am talking about achievements with regards to Steam. The in-game achievements are supposed to also register on Steam, but apparently do not.

@TheBriarFox I also had that issue, which is what initially prompted my post. However, since then, I haven't had any achievements register on Steam. :/

Interestingly enough, tonight my achievement for beating the game as Necromancer popped up, so I guess they're not completely broken. However, there's still no "Achievement Progress" on my Steam profile like there are for other games. Oh well. *shrug* ._.

I have the same problem with Magic. The leaderboard there is over Steam, since this game has no own Server. It´s an unbelievable crap!!! :-(
However, for Spectromancer this is not important at all. You can write to Valve, but lol...

I just did the "Have 4 phoenix in play" condition and did not get credit during the campaign. I have yet to get any.

You have to play against the Archmage in a Single Duel to get the badges.
Campaign on hardest difficulty is also Archmage, but since you get many bonuses during the Campaign, it does not count for the badges "Duels against Archmage:" just for the badges "Campaign rewards:".

Yeah the achievements seem to be broken too. I lost a game where opponent had less than 5 life and didn't get the achievement.

It´s definitely possible to get all the badges, since I have them all!
For the Steam-achievements contact Valve lol, we have nothing to do with that...

In multiplayer. And if the achievements are going to be that specific, they should really specify on the achiement itself like other games do.
