not all dlc needed to play "full" version

I created this thread to inform new players so they wont buy redundant dlc
since its not stated clearly in the description


Gathering of Power includes both League of Power and Truth&Beauty
so no need to buy the other 2 dlc

its stated on Gathering of Power activation screen

everything from the" league of heroes" and" truth of beauty" expansions

imho dev should update gathering of power store description to reflect this

Lol! Deinstall it, download the always up-to-date-installer from Spectromancer.com, and it will work. Or go online with Steam, so that the auto-updater will do this for you.

Campaign was changed. Players now start the campaign with all cards unlocked, and learn upgrades to the cards during the campaign. Upgraded versions of cards are available in the campaign only.

but no owner of Gathering of Power can play the old campaign anyway,

from what I understand old campaign system was scrapped from the game as obsolete
and now its only available to people who dont have Gathering of Power

No, it´s still available for all. You can download it from Spectromancer.com. But you need the T&B-key, and you can´t play online, since you will not get around the auto-update. If anyone has the T&B-key and wants to play the old campaign: Deinstall, install T&B. You can´t play online then, since the updater will transform it into GoP...
LoH has nothing, just different card-values like for example Dragon 42 life instead 40...
Or you can install both versions in different folders...

yes anyone can download the old installer I guess
but since we are on steam here and steam updates to the latest version anyway
theres no option to use the older version if you have Gathering of Power


if the old campaign was better as you say idk but I dont see the point for a new player
to jump into older stuff

The keys are not redeeming! (Ok one did) Gathering of power is being identified as another copy of spectromancer!
It does appear in my amazon account, but THE CODE FOR GATHERING OF POWER is NOT THE CODE FOR GATHERING OF POWER, it looks like it's ANOTHER COPY OF SPECTROMANCER. So i paid for gathering of power but i am not able to reddem it because THE CODE IS BEING IDENTIFIED AS SPECTROMACER AND NOT GATHERING OF POWER

when right click spectromancer view cd keys how many keys there just 1?


if its just 1

far fetched but if steam has downloaded the Gathering of power version
and prompts to activate the expansion try to use gop key ingame
-it wasnt like that in my case
but its easy enough to worth a shot

though its unlikely, there is a chance they messed up a batch of keys

havent seen any other reports of this problem so far

I have two cdkeys. One for the base game and one for gathering of power.

It was confirmed by spectro support. I have the screenie. once i get home ill post it here.
I got 2 keys but both are for the base game.
Steasm didn't download the GoP version.
Amazon refuse to help me since im in colombia (However i have a legit physical address in USA so i see no reason why).
Suing is out of the question, i have no money.
Spectrosupport can't provide me with a correct key, only confirm my story and check that the secon key is ideed one for the basegame.

I only see that my only hope is that the developer see my case, i send all the proofs (i have screenshots, invoices etc, any proof needed i have them all) and he gives me a key... If not i lost money and wont be able to play the expansion i paid for :(
I know it's not a lot of money for you guys but it is for me since my budget is very tight... (And the economy of my country is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up), i also feel robbed by amazon :(

I really hope the dev sees my case and give me a steam key for GoP

I never buy games from 3rd-party-sellers. Now I know why... :-)
I paid my 20€, have my key in my mailbox and have never had any problem.
On Steam I buy just games which need Steam to run and on Amazon just things like clothes and DVDs.
Money is no problem for me, but even if I were poor, I would follow this line!
