Go all the way to the bottom, line yourself up, hold sprint and then press jump at the end of the swing. If you want to stabilize the rope, either climb all the way up and then back down, or just save and load while holding the rope.

Also note that the part where you have to swing between ropes in the catacomb level is really tricky. The alignment is totally off, so you'll have to face in a way where it looks like Lara's NOT lined up to make it to the second rope.

Not really. If your rope is not moving, you can line yourself up perfectly with the rope, and as long as you won't take your time jumping off after the swing (which is when you start to turn and swing back), then you'll make it to the other rope just fine.

I don't see why you'd reply to this thread a month after it's been answered though. The guy has either done the jump already, or has lost his interest to complete the game.

I know this is really old but I HAVE to vent (and say thanks to the tips)
Those @!#%’ing ropes are something I’ll hate forever! Luckily with the tips here I did it!
