Soul Reaver 2 + Steam Link console controller support. Works perfectly :)

I have had SR1 and SR2 for years but have not played them due to the poor controller support. A couple months ago I did a search to check for any updates on methods that didn't require an app like xpadder. I found an article or maybe it was a thread in the "Steam Deck" forums that said the controls worked perfectly on the Steam Deck (other then a few bugs for menu navigation)

I believe I had seen once before that the Steam Desk uses the control layer that the Steam Link console uses, so I dug in my closet and pulled out my old Steam Link console. Hooked everything up and fired up Soul Reaver 2 and was delighted to learn I could finally play one of my all time favorite games.

I am glad I came across that article / thread and since then have been enjoying more of my games from my couch. I think the Steam Link was put away because at the time of launch there was very few games that could be played on the Steam Link. Also to note I loaded the Android Steam Link app on my Chromecast with Google TV and it worked like the console but the lag from the Bluetooth connection between the CC with GTV and Stadia controller was horrible.

I tried SR1, no controller support and the Graphics are distorted, via the Steam Link. I haven't sat down to take the time and figure out settings that might work between the games settings and AMD Radeon Settings.

Just wanted to share for anyone else out there that has had a lot of trouble playing and might have a Steam Link Console, or a Steam Deck.

Update: Found the thread that said Soul Reaver works perfectly on the Steam Deck. It is in the SR1 forums, it is the thread "Steam Deck Verification"

where are you getting soul reaver 1 I tried looking for it on steam but no results.

Steam did have it one time. I had bought both, years ago and it wasn't until recently that I was able to least play SR2. SR1 graphics glitch out on the steam link.

Update, I see sr1 is no longer available and that GOG no longer has it.
