PREFACE

It was so stressful trying to install wrappers to fix the windows 10 bugs, widescreen patch, controller fix, and audio fix. AND to have them all work at the same time. Now that I have finally figured out how to make them all work simultaneously I'm going to share with you the easiest fix possible.


WHAT IT DOES

-fixes Windows 10 bugs (teleporting, unlimited fps, physics and animation quirks)
-adds widescreen support
-restores analog controllers
-restores DirectSound3D with compatible devices


INSTRUCTIONS

Download and extract the zip file contents into the folder where the sr2.exe is located. Overwrite when prompted. Edit the sr2.ini for your preferred resolution (must be a 16:9 ratio), run the upx.bat, and launch the game. The upx.bat only has to be ran one time only for the widescreen fix to work and you won't need to run it again.

Run setup.bat and make sure the following are selected:
-Triple Buffer [x]
-Sync to Refresh [x]
-Low Quality Textures [ ]
-Fullscreen Effects [ ]
-Antialiasing [ ] (just force this in the GPU control panel it's better that way)
-Disable Opening FMA (optional)
-Select your screen resolution (must be a 16:9 and 32-bit)

Don't know if Dropbox, WeTransfer or Google Drive would do the job but I really want to play SR 2 without all these messy glitches.

After trying to play this game here with my steam purchase then it was not working I tried to emulate the ps2 version lots of bugs and issues that make it not worth playing then trying the GOG version with random fixes from the internet also didn't work well. Then I tried this Ultimate patch for soul reaver 2 that life is dank put up and it works awesome. Thanks a lot my friend you did us all a big favour

It's straight from steam no changes. i follow the instructions and thats all i get when i try to run the game and the UPX.BAT doesnt run either

Does this work if you use the Gog version? I thought they usually have old games pre-patched but its bugged as hell as well and I can't even get to the first save and its pissing me off having to sit through the opening cutscene every time unable to skip it.

Worked for me after I changed the resolution in the sr2.ini file to my own screen resolution. thank you so much! the only problem is the cut scenes are all weird and pink.

I set the registry value HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Crystal Dynamics\Soul Reaver 2\1.00.00\DisableVShader to 1, because if I didn't, the screen was mostly pink and purple with silhouettes of the 3D objects barely visible.
