How to play on windows 10

As the title says. Bought the game years ago never played cause it never worked. How do I play it on Win10? That goes for the other games of this series as well

I'm in the same camp as you. I got this ages back and it was just busted. With the news about the IP changing hands I decided I should really properly play these games. Literally just finished Blood Omen minuets ago, great ♥♥♥♥♥♥' game. So I'm interested to see what people have to say about running this game in 2022.

If you're wondering about the current status of the game when it comes to Win 10/11, let me tell you something: It's... actually quite playable. If you're playing 1080p and using an xbox one controller, you shouldn't have that many issues. There's a tutorial for the xbox one controller in the forums. Convoluted but in the end you get to play just like the ps1 (except that select and start are reversed for some reason). Just select your resolution and that's pretty much it.

I got no clue what you're talking about. Every time I attempted to get the game working again last night and no matter what patch or tweak I tried, the game closes to desktop after the opening logos.

Nah, what I mean is how do you even get the game to work. I try to open it and it instantly crashes. I may have 2h on the game just doing that hoping it works. And yes I'm insane.

Exactly the same for me. I just gave up and am now playing the game on the redream dreamcast emulator. I seriously just recommend doing that. Its a great emu, works perfectly, runs at 60, minimal settings, gamepad just sorts itself out instantly, looks amazing too in both game and the emu menu itself. In the words of Todd Howard "It just works."

The game will not launch no matter what patch or fix I use. It just closes to desktop after the crystal dynamics logo. I can read just fine.
