Demo not running

I would like to buy this game, but the demo version doesn't open. It stays on the opening screen ("BRANE") and then closes. Any suggestions? Is this a problem with the demo, or would the full version also not run?

Almost certainly the full version wouldn't run.

Here's a copy/paste that helped many to open the game:

What to do if the game is crashing/not running?

Right click on your game in your Steam library.
Add --rendering-driver opengl3 as a launch property
Try to run the game again.

I'm in the demo and I would like to buy it but when I start playing at a certain time it closes automatically
