This year's Steam award for "Most Innovative Game Play."
I've nominated this game for that Steam award. It was an easy decision.

The system conjured into this game by this developer truly seems "innovative." And the game is great, besides. I'm approaching 100 hours with it, and I will use it for years to come, God willing.

Why not nominate it for "Game of the Year" you might ask? Well, I'd be happy to do that, too -- but it's got some pretty heavy weight competition in that category, and I think this award for innovation is a more likely opportunity for an actual win. And I think this game deserves an actual win. Indeed, I think it should everywhere become "the" chess simulation like a much older game once was.

I hope I am not the only one who nominates this game for this Steam innovation award. Indeed, I wish every person who has left it a positive review -- or even thought about doing so -- or ever played the game and liked it -- or ever wished for extra dessert or gone swimming in a pond -- would do the same.

No, I'm not the developer's relative or employee. I'm just truly impressed with this game, and use it to help a young chess player learn and get comfortable with the notion of playing in tournaments.

It doesn't take that much effort to nominate the game on Steam. I hope others will make the effort.

How would one nominate? Is there a process somewhere?

The Steam store website makes that possible. Just look there for mention of the Steam awards (you might have to scroll down).

Then click on that mention to see the possibilities.
