How strong are Yukkuris?

While going through the first dungeon I found a Yukkuri, defeated it, jumped three levels from the EXP it gave, and now feel somewhat overleveled. Are Yukkuris always that good, to the point where I should consider ignoring them to make the game harder, or are the rewards they give more reasonable when you're a higher level (if so, when does that happen)?

Yukkuris are always good to kill, I wouldn't recommend ignoring them since they have an item they can drop but you have to be very lucky to get it.

Their EXP doesn't seem to scale at all (maybe there's stronger ones later). I encountered a few Yukkuris later (like mid 20s) and they only gave about a third of a level each. They're honestly more useful for the money than the EXP right now for me.

I got a Yukkuri hat. It increases your LUCK by 99 so you basically can always apply status effects and every attack is a crit festival

So uh... anybody know the drop rate percentage? Cause I somehow got it on my first try.

Pain.

After learning about the Hat they drop i decided to grind awhile to get it.

500k gold earned and only 1 yukkuri killed.

at this point im gonna have to give up the grind because i am over leveled for the next area and am close to touching the next next area's level.
