FEZ
Treasure maps appear all black
Hey all - I just started playing Fez and picked up a few treasure maps. They look all black on my computer. I figured I had yet to get to some part of the game that would reveal them, but I saw some screenshots on the internet that had them all visible. Is there anything I can do to fox this glitch?

I am also experiencing this glitch! :I They are just silhouettes now... it completely ruins the point of finding a map!

Edit: All the pages in the Tome Artifact are also blacked out. However, you can seem to view the maps and tome normally in the Lava Area branching off from the Pixel Sewers.

Same thing here as well. I have sent an email to support@fezgame.com but no response yet. Maybe do the same so they can see that it is a recurring problem. I'm pretty sure it only started with me after I updated to Win 8.1 as I played it once in Win 8 and I think I could see them.

This worked for me:

1) Start up the 'Setup FEZ Launch Options'
2) Enable 'Force 60hz (--force-60hz)'
3) Save and exit

After that I started seeing the maps again. Like I said, it worked for me, but idk if it's gonna work for anyone else.

No joy for me, still just solid black.

I managed to fix it by finding FEZ.exe in SteamApps\common\FEZ and setting it to run in Windows 7 Compatibility Mode (I'm on 8.1). Since then it's been working fine. I did get black silhouettes one more time a few days later, but I just closed and reopened Fez and it started working again.

Same thing is happening to me. There are also other weird glitches like random black boxes appearing and then flying into Gomez' mouth (I think they say "Up"?) and sometimes the villagers turn blue when I rotate the world.

My maps have reappeared, I didn't do anything, just seems to have fixed itself!

Something weird seems be happening... I've recently started replaying and the maps are still black in my new file, but they're fine in my old 209.4% complete file. Also, I tried that force 60hz method mentioned earlier, and it made the maps reappear but it made the game slow as ♥♥♥♥.

Also, what's everyone's operating systems? I have Windows 8.1 and I think that has something to do with it considering the other users I've seen having this problem also have 8.1

I use Windows 8.1 too...
