Seems like the Devs abandoned their game or they don't care about sale anymore, and the resellers won't sell it even for half of the price, despite the fact that its a decade old and was bundled several times on cheap bundles.
For me, it doesn't worth the full price right now. I'd rather buy AAA game on sale for that price point, like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition.
You can check the price history here:

10€ used to be normal but now its more like 20-30€ for popular indie games.
10$ seems like buying a snack for you, while its full day work salary to others.
I won't mind buying it at full price if its less than 1$ like Argentina and Türkiye.
Also a lot of the gamers nowadays wont buy games at launch/full price, they either wait for it to get bundled or for sale at good discount. Simply cause they have hundreds of games wishlisted and don't wanna break the bank by spending extra thousands of dollars only for games.
Age does not depreciate the value of a piece of media, particularly a digital one. If for you personally it does that's fine, but it doesn't make it fact. The only reason you have probably formed this perception is the cycle of indie devs discounting/bundling to get as many units out there as possible. This process is the only thing that devalues a game-- putting too many copies of it out there that were purchased purely for reselling or some strange Steam collector level fascination.
All that aside--- To complain about a game of this quality being $10 is utterly ridiculous.
If it's already bargain priced for what it is, and it is also a landmark hit indie title featured in a popular documentary-- it doesn't need sales.
Those publishers chose to put them on sale. That doesn't invalidate the point I made, really. If all you want is a back-and-forth, I'm sure you can find someone to do that with. But this is a highly regarded game with a great deal of depth, for ten bucks. There's no obligation to put things on temporary discounts, your insistence otherwise is just a product of being spoiled (no offense, we're all trapped in it). Peace.
