Camera stopped following Gomez?
For some reason the camera has stopped following Gomez and I tried restarting the game, going through doors, and going through the teleporter and nothing has fixed it. Occasionally when Gomez falls onto a ledge and starts to hang the camera will zoom over to him but it will just be stuck in that position instead and continue to not follow them. Help??

Don't have a solution, just reporting that I have the same issue. Jumping off the edge sometimes seem to have it work again.

reporting the same issue, found this post while searching for a fix...

Returned to this game after a long time and I ran into a very similar issue as well. Camera would constantly stop focusing on the main character and I would have to intentionally die to regain focus.

After fiddling around for a bit, I found out that booting up the game with my gamepad connected somehow causes the camera movement (IJKL or Right Stick) to not function. So my temporary solution was to open the game with the controller unplugged then plug it back after you've fully loaded your game and the camera navigation works like nothing happened. I use a Xbox series gamepad.

Same issue. I set singlethreaded to on, steamworks to off and hardware instancing (what does it even mean?) to off. It's working for now.

This thread is over 2 years old at this point so I'm not expecting much, but I don't suppose you ever found a solution you'd be ok with sharing? I've run into the same problem and it's driving me nuts and Kamalins solution doesn't want to work for me :|

Edit: Looked around on other sites and found the solution. For whatever reason saving and restarting in the caveman area locks the camera, so just go back to the hub world and enter another world (i.e. the first one), quit the game and restart and everything should be working again. Hope this helps! ^^

I had this issue on a new PC build with an AMD Radeon GPU. I just changed some of my settings in AMD Adrenaline software, and somehow the camera issue went away. Not 100% sure the video card settings were the cause, but just wanted to mention it here because I was frustrated with the camera issue, and now it's fine.

Thanks for the tip Vem. I got around this issue just now by exiting the gaming in the starting village and then restarting the game. 👍

bit lost, where exactly are you changing these settings? how do you "set steamworks to off"?

I checked some combinations of settings and i turns out that you only need to set singlethreaded to on
