Is There Any Single Player Fun In Defiance?

What's up. Just a quick question. I know Defiance is a multiplayer oriented game, but I know it was released on Xbox 360 and I think PS3, so I am wondering maybe it has a Single Player campaign of some sort since its hard to believe consoles would be abel to support a persistent multiplayer. Is there campaign, or if not , is it playable if I don't want to join teams but play on my own pace? Thanks!

You can solo the game, though be prepared to potentially have other people possibly wander into some of your missions. They cant cause it to fail or steal your loot though as everyone gets their own loot.

The majority of the main story missions are single player only. There are some that are open to the public, but as mentioned above the other players in the area can't screw up your mission or steal your loot.

Its just the co-op specific missions that aren't soloable cause you need to have all slots filled to play them. Co-op missions are like dungeons in other MMOs only you don't get the best loot from them, they are mostely about earning rep. You can earn reputation without doing the co-op missions by doing contracts.
