JSRS 1.5

J.S.R.S. is a sound modification set that offers totally new sounds for ArmA II, and extends the game with new sound-based features in-game which were originally not possible. It will function in DayZ, but was not designed for it, and will sometimes be a bit buggy (disclaimer).
It is run entirely on the client, so it can not induce server lag or affect server performance. If you notice performance issues when running it, your PC may not be able to handle the extra work, and you should disable the mod.

Players on the server that choose not to run JSRS will still be able to play on the server without issues.

You will need to locate your root Arma2OA installation folder.
For Steam users, this is normally: C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/SteamApps/common/ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead

For non-Steam users: C:/Program FIles (x86)/Bohemia Interactive/ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead


Download and extract these two addon packs to your Arma2OA folder:

To get JSRS to register on the game you must rename @JSRS 1.5 in your Operation Arrowhead folder to @JSRS_1.5 .This will make it properly register in the game when you follow the next step.

Now you need to tell the client to load these files when playing.
In Commander, go to the Settings tab, and go to the Additional Launch Parameters field.

If you already have -mod=@anything in there, put a ; after it with no spaces, and add @CBA_CO;@JSRS_1.5
If you don't have anything in there already, add in: -mod=@CBA_CO;@JSRS_1.5
If you don't use Commander, add these same parameters in whatever launcher or command line you use.

Now you can launch a game, and go to Options -> Audio Settings and increase Audio Samples by clicking the right side arrow until it reads 128, this reduces the chance of audio stuttering.

To disable the JSRS mod if you no longer wish to run it, or want to play on a server that prohibits it, remove the @CBA_CO;@JSRS_1.5 parameters from your launch string.
