Is people still playing it?

I was thinking to buy the game now that it's on sale, but I would like to know if there's still people playing it.

People still play. I play every day, and I have 10-15 friends that I met in AoS who play several times a week.
This game does suffer from a toxic community in so much as people who don't get the game incessantly bag it and complain. It ruined Jagex's faith in it so they abandoned it.
It was unfair.
The people that hate the game are far too loud, and in the minority.
There's still enough players to have great matches but you need to pick your times, and regions too. For example, last night I played 3 matches on a Euro server. My ping was around 1000, so the lag was extreme.
But when i play on US West and Aus servers, my ping is under 100.

If this game is on sale YOU SHOULD GET IT.

Classic is no where near as good as Open Spades, but TDM absoluetly kicks arse and is WAY more accessible and hard hitting than Open Spades.
People who DO NOT UNDERSTAND the class system bag it out and complian all the time, but the classes are well balanced if you know what you're doing.
Give it a go.
