Hi Balance,
While it's sad to see the game come to an end, I do have one question:-
Would it be possible to release the game, open source to the community please? Is this something you would be able to talk to Jagex about to see if it's worth the time?
Thanks
Jamie
that's all really sad to hear, but isn't there at least something you could do to keep this game alive? I mean, lots of people were and are enjoying this game so far, even without good updates, bug fixes and other important stuff. We love your game. And we need you to bring it back alive. Rewrite the code, add new maps, make new players become interested, you can even relaunch a whole new better version on Steam!
I bet that if that's all really is an important part of Jagex's story, then you won't just burry it down. It's always easier to say "Sorry, there's nothing we can do". But you can try and make it, it depends on you only.
Listen to your community at least today, at least one time due these 6 years.
First feeling you might have reading the post - pain. Then comes the thought that this is the fate you can expect of every familiar game. Thanks to a lot of people I played with and to those who came to the idea of original Ace of Spades game. I hope 0.75 still works and will work for much longer time than its 'developed' form.
Only thing I can't believe that you (Jagex) haven't even released the offline mode before shutting down the servers (the editor included). Why. That's not fair at all. If you give this game to people who can take the needed care of it (like 0.75) as it is suggested in a comment above, maybe a lot of us will forgive you.
Bye
Thank you all for the good old times and well spent time
your 10$ is nothing compared to what i have lost
