Save Game Editor not working on Win10

I like to mess around with the save game editor sometimes, but since upgrading to windows 10 I can't get it to open at all. Anyone have a way to make it work?

Works fine for me. Make sure you're not opted into the beta branch as the editor does not work on that version.

I can't even get the program to open. It just immediately crashes I guess. I don't even see a window appear.

Have you tried validating game files? I might be repeating myself needlessly but make sure you're running the main branch and not indev. What you're describing if what happened to me on indev branch.

Also make sure you have .Net framework 4 installed.

I'm talking about a save game editor which is posted on the official forums. I can't get it to run on Windows 10. The game and the indev branch work fine on my computer.

For the record, I am running both GSGE II by kinsi[forums.gnomoria.com] and Gnomoria Editor by Toge[forums.gnomoria.com] at latest versions with no issues at all.

I see you posted in the GSGE topic too so perhaps someone there might have a clue for you.

I know this is old, I was just wondering if you ever found a solution? I just put Windows 7 on a new machine and GSGE 2 worked at first but a few weeks later it just doesn't. I thought it might have something to do with windows updates but your post makes me question that.

Dang. I tried looking for the post Gyumaou said you made in the GSGE topic but couldn't even find the topic. I don't even know how to see what happens when I try to run the editor to troubleshoot and it's driving me crazy

Hey I know this is an old post, but I've been having the same problems posted above and finally got the save editor to work for windows 10 using gnomoria 1.0. As stated above, I kept trying to run the editor and it wouldn't show a window at all, just silently quit. I found the solution is to put the editor in the game directory since it uses the game's dlls to do its stuff. So the full path of what the save gamed editor should be is like:
D:\PathToSteam\steamapps\common\Gnomoria\GnomoriaSaveGameEditor.exe

Be sure to back up your saves first. I didn't test the editor extensively, but I did try a few things on my save and I was able to load it up and see the effects no problems. Huge thanks to the author out there.
