Won't equip prostetic leg...?

Ble, my best fighter lost his left leg and won't equip any of the three leg prostetics ... at a loss for why...

I haven't used prostheses, but maybe you have to give a uniform class that tells him he must equip it? Or, perhaps he will equip it during his next training cycle? Set his unit to Train and see if that helps.

Nope, I have multiple other gnomes that equipped as soon as they were injured. It functions much like bandage useage as far as I can tell.

I've ben following him and it appears like he spends his day crawling after food and drink... perhaps no time to go get the prostheses...? Can't seem to alter the priority in that sense.

Maybe bring the prosthesis to him? ie: Declare a temporary stockpile with priority 1 very close to him, only for a prosthesis type (one square stockpile) that he needs. Maybe he'lls equip it, then? Or, give him a new personal room right beside where it is stored, with food/drink along the way so he can eventually make it there?

had no need for that for a long time, but as far as I know : prostetics must be put on in a hospital from a gnome with...medic (?) job.

He's just full of Pride and refuses to allow himself to accept any help despite losing his leg.

@ Dr Madscientist: I have a hospital with 20 beds and 2 full time medic/caretakers. Still nothing. As stated before, other equipped theirs just fine... 2 legs and 1 arm. Just not Ble for reasons unknown.

I'm up for other thoughts...

I also tried to "retire" him from active duty on the city watch thinking maybe as a soldier he could not equip a medical device but no bueno there either...

LOL! He got tired of hearing you complain about it! Or, maybe he had a date and wanted to look his best? He probably thought the dangly pants leg and crawling around on his stomach weren't things that would impress a segzy female gnome.

He finally accepted his fate and decided that it was time to move on. It just wasn't worth it crawling in the dirt back and forth to get food everyday.
