Chitin Armor
Hey guys, just wondering: does chitin armor count as leather armor or as heavy armor? Because for the "Sneaky"-perk (which I quite like) you´re required to have no armor at all or leather armor, so I was just asking myself and came to the conclusion, that I had no idea at all :)

(And while we´re on topic: what sort of armor is bone armor? And no, I´m not planning on equipping my gnomes with bones armor. Beacuse I totally haven´t done that in my previous savegame... (and defineitly not lost about 20 gnomes in total just because of that squad.))

I didn't know that Chitin armor was a thing? Is it a Mod item perhaps? (if so, ask the Mod makers)

As for Bone, it's not terrible, per se, just that it only covers 2 slots, so you'll have to suplement it with other slot items. I keep a set on all my civilians, because every little bit counts, and any excess can be sold to merchants for a markup.

:sphere:

Hmmm ok, it´s possible that chitin armor is modded, since I discovered Tacyn´s mod, I literally never played again without it, cause it just makes so much more fun than Vanilla. But since the game is more or less abandoned, I´m not even sure the mod creator will see this/my question. Whatever.

Well, about bone armor: with the mod you can craft bone armor for every slot, like any regular armor, the thing is just I made bad experiences with bone armor, probably also because of the mods. It´s just way to frail after a certain point in the game...

I looked through the notes for Tacyn's mod but could not find a description of Chitin Armour. The only reference i found was that the qualtities/values are similar to plate armour. I.e Mant=Copper, Beetle=Bronze etc so i would asume that using Chitin Armour with Sneaky Perk may not work. Try posting your question directly on the Forum for Tacyn's Base Mod 2.6 you will probably get a more satisfactory answer.
