That said, I do think there is a lot of potential in Octodad stories to be told if we just rewind the clock and rely on prequels. Maybe have it set during the dating years between Octodad & Scarlet, after all the date night shorts alludes to all sorts of wacky experiences they had together. Imagine a level where you actually get to take the baking class for example.
iirc Young Horses said themselves that Octodad isn't really their main focus right now and they have other games on the radar, but haven't ruled out further Octodad content in the future. If they ever do return to Octodad, I think a prequel to Dadliest Catch would be the way to go. As wholesome as it's ending was, it's basically a narrative dead end that doesn't allow for any logical continuation.
The only other possible option is remaking the original Octodad whilst also expanding its scope. reuse the basic premise but make it 3 days in advance of their anniversary so it takes 3 days to get each item, Octodad still makes the decoy for Scarlet, but does so over the course of a longer period of time so that more levels can be squeezed in and a larger story can be told.
sorry for the essay, I can be very long winded at times, and to answer the post above, it can be found online though some downloads are dubious. best to just stick to the game's listing on Steam, it's also free but has no risk of installing viruses onto your pc.
