Can you unlock ties and achievements in Free Play mode?

Just finished playing through the main game. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I saw that there is also a Free Play mode where you can repeat levels from the story. I was wondering if when you play in this mode you can still collect ties and unlock achievements.Or are these disabled in that mode?

Yup, you can get all the ties/level-specific achievements in freeplay mode.

As far as I know, the only achievements that you can't get in free play mode are Number 1 Dad and Number 100 Dad

you can but on the aquatic one there is one you can't get.
