collector edition worth it?
I'm just curious on peoples thoughts when they purchased the CE edition.
I imagine the soundtrack is one thing, how about the artbook? I've seen some in the past such as the Hitman Absolution artbook and was a tad dissaplinted there wasn't more included inside it.

is it appropriate of me to ask how many pages are in the artbook? :O

Hey Wumpus - 52 pages in the artbook, but they're condensed into a 26 page PDF. Longer version: the physical version is a booklet with 52 pages, but we felt that it displayed better as a 2 up double page spread on the digital version (so it cuts it down from 52 to 26).

I can't answer you on whether it's worth it though. I wrote the damn thing.

The direction is Guillaume and the art is Whitney :) Whitney and I put the book together. I'm just the bad writer. I apologise in advance for the bad puns.

Is there a way of acquiring the physical artbook without rebuying the game? I would love to collect and show off the art

No, I'm afraid not. It'd be great if we could find a place that could produce them for us, but I expect it'd be priced pretty highly (and certainly far higher than the digital version).

Honest question, if it was available in hard copy, what would you be prepared to pay for it?

If it's the same as the digital one, I'd probably be prepared to pay up to $25-$30 for a hardcover copy.
I got The Art of Alice: Madness Returns for around £25 which would be something like $40, but that's a really extensive book at almost 200 pages. So for a 52 page one, $25-$30 seems about right to me.

Is there a way to "upgrade" to collectors edtion? After playing the game I wish I could buy the soundtrek as DLC..

I gave the soundtrack a listen at first, but haven't touched it since. I quite like the game (even if it's a bit unpolished) and I'm sure I'll look at the art book every now and again. So for me the collector's edition was worth it. I work in the animation field, though, so maybe I have more use for art books than others. The pdf book has 27 pages.

Yep - you can buy the soundtrack on iTunes. If you buy the whole album, the art book unlocks (see the bottom of the song list). It's $6 (US), so it's $1 more than buying the Collector's Edition on Steam.

I think its totally worth it just for the 2 main live songs that come with the soundtrack, they are fantastic.

Why don't you add normal edition to Collector's Edition update option on Steam? It would be really good. Just like Trine 2 or Shadowrun Returns, Zeno Clash 2 or other games on Steam? Thanks.
