Can my taskbar be visible while playing the game?
Just wondering if there is a way to pin my game shortcut to the taskbar, for some reason it won't allow me to pin the game there, even though I can pin all other games I have to it.

And can I have the taskbar be visible at the bottom of the screen while I am playing the game or using the editor?

That would make it easier for me to toggle back and forth while I am learning the game instead of having to get out of the game and go back in every time I need to read a discussion for help.

Also since my taskbar also alerts me of any incoming emails or notifications .that way I would be aware of when they happen it just makes it easier if the taskbar was visible while playing the game.

I'm using windows 8.1 if that helps or matters.

I have Windows 7. Steam is pinned to my taskbar. Steam is set to bring up Library when I open it. Shift + tab will bring up the Steam overlay when in game. Alt + tab will bring up the desktop. This is for Windows 7 don't know if it is the same on W8.

I do not know if there is anyway to pin a cam you are playing to to the taskbar but when I Alt + tab it shows on the task bar and to return to it I just click on it.

Well hope this isn't going to sound confusing.......when I have logged into the game and then lets say choose alt + left tab key to go back to my desktop, I can see folk tale in the bottom task tray,.......however,, when I hit that Folk Tale icon in my tray and actually go into the game, I can no longer see my taskbar, although I can see my taskbar while playing other games on my pc that I own. That's why I think it should be possible to be able to see Folk Tale as well.
So my Folk Tale game is not actually pinned to the taskbar, it is only shows up after I have opened the icon to the game on my desk top. This is odd to me since all my other games I am able to pin to my taskbar.

So there are 2 issues that seem to not make sense, 1. I can't pin folktale shortcut to my taskbar, and 2. I can't get the taskbar visible while I am playing the game.

The shortcuts I have no problem with and yes, they don't take much time to toggle in and out of, however it is still more convenient to see my taskbar while I am playing the game because my taskbar alerts me if others are trying to email me or trying to skype me. But it won't alert me if I can't visually see it. the taskbar does make a beeping sound and flashes if someone is trying to get a hold of me but it only beeps and flashes if the taskbar is visible while I am playing the game, which it is not visible at that time.

Interesting, I don't think I have any game where I can see the taskbar when playing. With the Bethesda Construction set and Creative Kit I can see the taskbar but those are separate from the game.Installed and accessed separtely and not from the game menu.

Well I'm guessing it is just a matter of sizing the window for the game since the games ask me what size I want the window in. If I say full screen than I can't see the task bar, but if I choose one of the smaller screens I can, so I pick the one that is closest to being the largest screen while still showing the taskbar at the bottom.

ALT+ENTER any help?
Nakia Jun 16, 2014 @ 10:12pm
Aha, you play in window mode and I don't. That is the difference. You also have Window 8 and I have Window 7. Those are good things to let the developers know. The more information they have the better able to help with problems and when possible make adjustments

What does ALT + enter do? Nevermind I found out. Thanks for the info that is handy to know.

ALT = ENTER almost looked like for a second that it would work, I can see a small piece of the top toolbar where I can choose to restore down, but it's not quite visible enough to grab it. But it definitely looks like that is where I could resize the window. I will play around with it and see what I can do, maybe find some command on the internet or something where somebody figured out how to do that. Thanks for the idea Games Foundry.

What screen resolution are you using for the game?
temmie143 Jun 18, 2014 @ 5:04pm
1920 x 1080....I could try other smaller sizes is that where you were going with this?

With Windows 7 I tried with several different resolutions and it didn't seem to make a difference. I can see my taskbar though with no problem.

The window isn't resizeable. It will occupy most of the desktop.
