The Lizard village stuff sounds very interesting, but so far a bit unclear how that actually plays out. It definitely sounds like an even bigger candidate for terrain and non-regenerating resource destruction than the Weasel dens. The whole "they only grow stronger when you attack" sounds a bit as if you would not do prolonged warfare, but stack enough soldiers for a single big attack to wipe them out, since anything else would cost you more time and give you more things you have to defeat. There is not really any reason to attack them from time to time to "weaken" them right? Because the part before that sounded like that that was the intention.
The update sounds pretty interesting with all the pretty new things added to the game and it is apparent how much effort you put into everything. If you really want to release it mid June to get more player feedback I am happy to dive into the game again and test intensely, but if you feel you need more time to get something you like I'd say people will probably understand that. You release relevant content pretty quickly anyway.
Those Lizards look much cuter than in Ratropolis though.
I am not sure if I can attack them ><
Can we expect Mercenary units in the future?
It will be nice to have mercenaries to help us when we get outnumbered or in case of an emergency.
I also want to say that I miss the scary looking lizards of Ratropolis. Can you bring them back as a different faction maybe? The fire lizards clan can be more scary looking.
The game could use serious polish before you go too far. Combat has been proven to be a problem in most of the communities eyes and in itself needs the most work it seems. Adding features for this without a proper system in place will leave players feeling this game runs forward without looking back.
I'm saying this since you yourself have shown disappointment in how players are lost, unsure, and handle your own mechanics. A clear focus and polish in systems now will allow you progress in a much smoother transition later.
That's what The Greed for I think.
We're preparing mercenary units now, but they're only designed for defense at the moment.
I agree with your opinion. After finishing the General update, we plan to take time in looking back and polishing the game again.
I wish the zombies would at least not overlap the buildings.
