Shortage of mud
I made potteries from mud, but I didn't know you can't reproduce mud. So I can't build gardens anymore lol
I have spent over 400 days, and I don't wanna restart from scratch.

Yeah, you should take in account that some resources not renewable. Why you used clay instead dirt+water?
FreedomFighter Nov 18, 2023 @ 12:13pm
Mud is not renewable. You can't even trade for it so don't use it for anything else except garden. There should be enough around for you to get suitable size gardens so keep digging around.
mud not being renewable or craftable is insane to me.
I haven't needed to make a single garden, but there is no reason to limit pot creation when they already produce 20% slower than wild growspeeds

go with dirt+ water for claypot, or just dont produce it until u have more than enough

i find oil to be best early game necessity . u can harvest flower in "clay garden", better than spending that clay on pots

But you can put so many gardens near harvester as you wish. One harvester can supply with food 20 rats easily in that case.

You can gather mud renewably from the exploration office by surveying lakes. Lake tiles have about 35% chance of getting mud, 60% water and 25% frog. give or take

open trade routes with other cities and buy as much mud as you want.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
