I remember I had so many dead rats in my early playthrough, the game ran out of names for new rats and gave them names like male_187.
Yes Vito, all my names are male and female something lol. I actually recovered my base well and want to try and finish lol
early game i set a gatherer at main base , rely on a -30% stamina loss hunter on 2 rabbit holes, storage and 2butchers, beds all tightly packed on a mini forward base connected with rail/ lift.
they usually keep good storage full of early stage food for 30population. rabbit milk only provide 18hunger points, not good early game choice , they make u feel like u have lots food, but they are low quality and easily run out. just ban milk for food consumption til u start making cheese.
meat is the backbone for ur colony, dont feel bad to have too much of them. make sure u have 1hunter 2butcher for every 30-40ish population while developing other food source. they almost gauranteed u not to starve out.
Guess you could build a graveyard close to your dumping spot just to have the rat carry the corpses for you, then destroy/rebuild it after to make the transfer of bodies short.
