I'm getting killed by invasions
I have a level 2 city with 15 Ratizens with 4 of them assigned to training camps. I get hit with an invasion on 4 fronts with about a dozen invaders. How am I supposed to deal with that? It hadn't been that long since the last attack. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to have more than 25% on my population in the military?

Also, it's kind of silly that there is an attack and everybody else is going abut their business as if nothing is going wrong.

First of all you gotta know where the tombstone is, the tombstone will keep respawning even if u removed them, and DON'T try to seal the road, they will just teleport into the city

so what to do is

1-> make sure they have a clear path to your city, so they don't teleport inside them , and u can know where will they attack from
2-> trap is your friend, make the path long enough with traps, they will die before they reach you

this is what i do, hope it helps you

I research and build the bell thinking its an alarm to gather the rat at the location (as a safehouse during invasion) except for the soldiers but its actually for pushing the rats to work longer lol.

Actually, you should totally be trying to kill off those tombstones (plague dens). Only one will respawn per invasion cycle, so if you stay on top of killing them you shouldn't be getting hit from 4 fronts at a time. Leader Rat can do this all on their lonesome once you get a Royal Bed to heal up at when you get low health.

They have a clear path to my city. They still spawned 3 different spots underground.

You still need to find them and create a pathway, or just trap the usual spot they are tunneling from, usually they will reappear at the same plague tunnel. You gotta abandon the area for a while and trap it.

rush a single +30hp+20hp soldier will get u thru 2nd wave, u better get 5 of them on 3rd wave and then start clearing tombstone thats within ur base.

try to build everything above ground level if u just starting out with few soldiers
build upward and dont go down too early, that way zombies will always come from bottom level to ur base, easier to defend early game.

(dont clear the natural grain, grass flower, rabbit holes, let gathering/hunting rats gather them)

Seriously. The cheapest, fastest, safest way to go for protecting the city is to just follow the old advice "The best defense is a good offense".

Building enough traps takes a lot of resources early on.
Getting good enough guards takes a lot of luck and a good bit of resources.

Just going out and killing them yourself is dirt cheap. All you need is a Royal Bed and you can survive the zombie invasions indefinitely on Hard. Guards, traps, royal forge, it all makes life easier and more convenient, but all you actually NEED is the Royal Bed and an aggressive mindset.

The tombstones don't instantly respawn. They only pop one up every few days when a new invasion begins. So if you kill them all between each invasion, you only have 1 little stone's invasion to deal with (and one stone to go kill afterwards). And all it takes to kill one of the stones even on Hard is a Royal Bed to heal up. Just go fight a tombstone until you're getting low, run back to heal, then go back and finish the tombstone off. You totally control the fights at the tombstones between invasions so you have basically zero real risk. Kill 2 or more tombstones between invasions and even if you were getting swarmed before you'll have it under control in no time.

You can guess at the direction to dig to find the tombstones based on which side of the base the tunnel pops up if you can't get a good guess from the icons at the start of the invasion.

And all the resources you have to invest are 4 boards and 4 cloth. That's all it takes to survive the zombie invasions with relative ease even on Hard.

As a bonus, you also get to explore around you and find other resources like bronze, gold, webs, water, etc and bring samples back to boost your early research.

If you still can't build trap, royal forge , or only have few warrior .

You can save the game when "invasions event" just pop on your screen , quit to main menu , then load the game , it will show up just 2-4 enemy. use it when you are not ready.
