Spider Web Question

How common is spider web in your worlds? What biome does it usually spawn?

I am on my 7 - 8 restart and I have only found 1 single spider web in a random cave. But so far on any other world I cannot find any.

I found mine next to the bat cave, it was actually to my left so I kinda missed it out for the first 20 days or so. Try to make a room with platforms for you to jump around and harvest the spider webs. Dont kill the spiders as it will move around and create new webs.

That is the thing, I found a single spider web with ZERO spiders in a single world.
Again, I have not found any spiders or spider webs in any of my worlds.
That is why I am asking if it's a super rare spawn or my game is just bugged.

You can buy it from another city later so don't worry about it.

Its not around near the web? Weird, must've despawned or something.

If you clear the blocks around even a single web, a spider will spawn and weave like 25 blocks worth of it. It can be endlessly farmed that way. Ive found webs on all 3 of my saves, 1 in particular was a problem, had to dig deep to find it.

i also found them near bat caves or gold veins. Search for something that looks like a cave system, not with sand or mud or other biomes. It shouldn't bee too deep underground

you find spiders in the rocky biom the normally consists of stone cristall dirt(not that common) copper gold and iron. it also has batcaves and mushrooms if you find such a biom there is normally a spider somewere aswell. but you can also buy it at the tradecenter the settlement is normally close to you on the map
