How do i get mud? like i started going deeper and traveled the surface but couldn't find mud blocks. Do I need to make it somehow?

Mud usually in the pond where there is fish spawner. It can be both above and underground. It is such a pain to get.

Mud in this game is more rare than gold. Absolutely ridiculous.

Also who uses mud to grow plants in a pot? Why can't we just use regular dirt.

i got plenty of mud in my game, i can't find copper, so it's very random, however it seems like there is biodomes, so try and explore, but watch out for mob spawners

I had 42 rats in my city before i found spider webs on this run. My first city it was right below where i spawned 🤣

Purely random is seems. It's difficult to make supply chains based on resources you may or may not have in the near future.

There's a logic to it, it's why the nile flood plains were so important for agriculture, mud from waterways gets a lot of nutrients deposited into it so it's useful for growing things in.
