I make it so if a Rat have more than 400 gold it gets taxed. You can chose what you tax and how much you tax it.
I also give the rats that have less than 200 gold subsidies, every day. 100 gold for now, but I am only early game.
i don't understand how you can have cash problems, when you can tax them all their money.
They don't go out and collect tax. They collect it through working at their table. Once the work cycle is completed, a ratizen with overdue tax will magically got their Pia suck into your treasury.
So i set daily wealth tax (25% of total wealth), then i set a toilet service fee of 50g. And then a wellfare benefit for 50g. And what ends up happening is everyone is broke, they get paid enough from the state so they can use the washroom once a day (and then are gifted 50g for the next days visit), and that money eventually funnels into the performer and i tax it. Everyone stays more or less happy because even have 1g puts them in like the 70% margin for richest citizens.
Takes some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around to figure out, but its not as bad as it first seems. Focus on the toilet tax, and a system so your unemployed people get given enough cash to visit the washroom. Early game thats all you need.
