Profession profits?
Hi. I have chosen yarn dealer and im making quite a good profit even though im not becoming rich yet, but i have one doubt. Do you gain the same profit being yarn dealer as an arm trader or crafts? cause ive seen arms and armors are quite expensive to buy and are weel paid and same for luxury goods etc.

Another doubt i have is, if i chose yarn deale (so i make fibres, fabrics and clothes) Would you recommend me to take another production skill like handicrafts or cooking, or casting if they are not my favoured skill? I thought about learning handicraft because im atracted by brewing and making extra armour, but i also wouoldnt mind to make some armour or something that sells quite good in the market.

This threa is for people who are veteran in this game and know what im talking about, and can answer me quite well.

Well, during Battle Campaign (15th of every month) and Epic Sea Feud (About a week or two after BC) Cannon 16's and Carronade 16s are the most sold item, right up there next to Master craftsman's carpentry tools. Cannon prices skyrocket to about 10 million - 30 million depending on their quality of damage strength.

Being a caster is definitely a money maker, and MCT's (stated above) sell for about 35k - 45k on average, a bit more when BC and ESF are going as us high-level maritimers need to repair our ships. Ship armoring (plating) are also another good item to sell. Battle sails and 21/24, 22/25+ cruising sails (Main full rigged sail, and Modified full rigged sail) are the high sellers for those in the sewing job.

Handicraft is good too as you can sell high-end furniture for people's quarters and other nuances.

Cooking is great too since everyone always needs vigor food. The top selling vigor food item is Salted fish with nuts, and Tuna olive steaks. Pachamanca Dressed w/ Maca is the next highest seller as well. SFN sells for about 4-8k a piece, TS sell for about 9-13k, and Pacha sells for about 35k - 40k (it's a bigger pain to make though too, hence the price difference).

Overall, the higher level your craft is the more you'll be making money since you'll then be able to make recipes that make items people need the most.

Casting in my opinion is the biggest money maker aside from a rank 20 Shipbuilder. An r20 or even r19 Shipbuilder has spent literally months irl to get to that stage (since the grind is so slow. Ships are built with real-time, so if a ship takes 15 days in-game to make that's 15 minutes worth. So it's a very slow grind.)

But Casting, Cooking, Sewing (sails), and yes even Handicrafts are among the top job to have for money making. (Ranked in order of income).

Go to Journal at the top then Research Thesis. You basically started a thesis, and there's tasks you do to progress that thesis. Such as one for repair thesis means you just perform the 'repair' function a lot on your ship and it'll complete the thesis. Once that's complete you then go back to the college or any scholar and turn it in. Then you can choose another thesis to do, and when you finish them you get a skill to use based on that. You can use 5 maximum college skills at a time, and you can switch them out providing you have points to spend (gained from completing thesis). :)

piracy seems difficult as everyone wants to defeat you. Im not into that yet, maybe with another character.

if you have a strong company your feared so nobody will risk attack

Don't be a pirate until you're at minimum battle level 45. And if you have the battle skills and ship to match to keep you safe either to run or in a fight. Anything before that and you will be killed and hunted constantly by stronger pirates and hunters. Don't let this guy tell you otherwise, your company will not babysit you when you want to go everywhere. Especially since another much bigger pirate, like myself is determined to kill baby pirates, regardless if there's a white-name with them. And you're not feared at all if you're in a company. Your reputation is based on your own personal reputation and how you grow it.
